Bears To Interview Klint Kubiak For Offensive-Coordinator Position

The Chicago Bears plan to interview San Francisco 49ers passing-game coordinator Klint Kubiak for their offensive-coordinator job, according to sources. The Bears are looking to replace Luke Getsy after they fired him following two seasons running the team's offense. Kubiak is the son of Super Bowl-winning head coach Gary Kubiak and previously was the Minnesota Vikings' offensive coordinator in 2021. He's worked with quarterback Kirk Cousins and has been working with Brock Purdy in San Francisco, but he could be tasked with improving Justin Fields or a rookie QB in Chicago if he's hired by the Bears. The Bears have also requested permission to speak with Seattle Seahawks OC Shane Waldron for the same position.
