Bears Release Nathan Peterman Wednesday
one year ago

The Chicago Bears released veteran quarterback Nathan Peterman on Wednesday. With Peterman now gone, the Bears have just two signal-callers on their roster, starter Justin Fields and undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent. If something were to happen to Fields, the Bears, already 0-2 on the season, would be in some serious trouble at the position. They'll most likely bring in another veteran option at some point or sign another QB to their practice sooner than later. The 29-year-old Peterman will now look for work elsewhere. He has played in 13 games (five starts) in his five-year NFL career with three different teams.
