Bears Plan To Interview Liam Coen For Offensive-Coordinator Position
10 months ago

The Chicago Bears plan to interview Kentucky offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Liam Coen for their vacant offensive-coordinator position, according to a source. Coen was the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams in 2022 when the team finished last in total offense and 27th in passing and rushing, but it also came with quarterback Matthew Stafford playing only nine games due to injury. The Bears have openings at offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach after firing Luke Getsy and Andrew Janocko earlier this week. Along with Coen, the Bears are looking into Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and San Francisco 49ers passing-game coordinator Klint Kubiak. The Bears have yet to decide if Justin Fields is their franchise QB, or if they'll go after USC's Caleb Williams with the first overall pick in the 2024 draft.
