Bears Looking To Trade Chase Claypool
one year ago

The Chicago Bears are looking to trade wide receiver Chase Claypool and are asking for a fifth- or sixth-round draft pick in return, according to sources. It comes after the Bears made Claypool a healthy scratch for their Week 4 tilt on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. General manager Ryan Poles has been actively calling teams he thinks are in the market for a receiver. The Bears acquired Claypool from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a trade last season, but he has fallen flat in 10 games with the team up to this point. In the first three weeks of 2023, Claypool has just four receptions on 14 targets for 51 yards and one touchdown. A trade out of Chicago may help his fantasy value, but that's not a guarantee. With Claypool seemingly out of the picture in Chicago now, Equanimeous St. Brown should serve as the No. 3 wideout behind DJ Moore and Darnell Mooney.
