Bears Hiring Thomas Brown As Pass-Game Coordinator
10 months ago

The Chicago Bears are hiring former Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown as their passing-game coordinator on Tuesday. Brown worked previously with new Bears offensive coordinator Shane Waldron when they were with the Los Angeles Rams as part of Sean McVay's coaching staff in 2020. Brown was also with the Rams in 2021 and 2022 before running Carolina's offense this past season. He interviewed for the Tennessee Titans' head-coaching job and for the offensive-coordinator positions with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots before getting hired by Chicago. Brown had an uphill battle as the offensive coordinator for the Panthers in 2023. In 2024, it remains to be seen if he'll be working with quarterback Justin Fields, USC's Caleb Williams or North Carolina's Drake Maye in his first year with the Bears.
