Bears Designate Khalil Herbert To Return From Injured Reserve

The Chicago Bears designated running back Khalil Herbert (ankle), wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown (hamstring) and defensive back Josh Blackwell (hamstring) to return from Injured Reserve on Monday. All three players have returned to practice, opening their 21-day window for the team to officially activate them from IR. The Bears aren't going to do much in practice on a short week before their Thursday night tilt against the Carolina Panthers in Week 10, so it's more likely that the 25-year-old Herbert returns to action in Week 11. Even when Herbert does return, he could face more competition for touches in Chicago's backfield from D'Onta Foreman. The 27-year-old Foreman has taken advantage of his opportunity as the team's lead back the last four game, averaging 4.52 yards per carry on 60 carries for 271 yards and two touchdowns, adding five catches, 35 yards and another score. UPDATE: Herbert was listed as a full practice participant on Monday.
