Baker Mayfield's Thumb Is Fine, Will Play In Week 11

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers training staff checked quarterback Baker Mayfield's right thumb on Monday and there were no issues. Mayfield will not miss any practice time this week and he is set to be ready for the Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, according to a source. He injured his thumb in the fourth quarter of the Week 10 win over the Tennessee Titans when his hand hit an opponent's helmet, but he didn't miss a snap. Mayfield's injury is worth monitoring, but he downplayed the injury after Sunday's game and appears to be fine moving forward. The 28-year-old signal-caller had a nice game in the win over the Titans, but he'll be on shaky fantasy ground in Week 11 against a Niners defense that just absolutely dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars.
