New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard, who has struggled in his first year with the team after signing a four-year, $44 million deal in March, was a healthy scratch for the Week 12 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Friday. Lazard also received $22 million over the first two years of his deal, the largest guarantee for any free agent receiver in the 2023 offseason. He had just 20 catches for 290 yards and a touchdown while struggling with drops (three) in the first 10 games. Saleh said the benching was "kind of a challenge to see if he can recapture the edge and who he is and the person that we have a lot of faith in. He's a good football player. I do believe that.
