Alexander Mattison Inefficient In Week 8
one year ago

Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison carried the ball 16 times for 31 yards and added one reception for two yards in the team's 24-10 victory over the Packers. After being out-touched by Cam Akers in Week 7, Mattison regained his role as the lead back as he handled 17 touches to Akers' 10. He wasn't able to take advantage of a solid matchup in this one, but fantasy managers can feel somewhat confident in him moving forward if his heavy workload sustains itself in the second half of the season. However, Mattison looks like a touchdown-dependent RB2 option at best, and the Minnesota offense may struggle to find the end zone without Kirk Cousins under center.
