Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell entered in the fourth quarter of the Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears. After Brian Hoyer and the Raiders got down big, they turned to O'Connell to finish the game. The rookie quarterback linked up with receiver Jakobi Meyers for a touchdown with nearly a minute remaining in the game. Considering how poorly Hoyer performed, it is possible that O'Connell earns another start if Garoppolo remains sidelined. The Raiders have a Week 8 matchup with the Detroit Lions, who have been a neutral matchup for quarterbacks this season. Fantasy managers do not need to roster O'Connell, but he may find some relevance in the future as a desperation play in superflex leagues.
