Aaron Rodgers Thinks He Could Be Ready In A Few Weeks
one year ago

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles), who suffered a torn left Achilles in Week 1, did some more throwing on Monday night before the team's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and was also overheard after the game telling Chargers safety Derwin James to "give me a few weeks" when asked when he's coming back. Some believe that Rodgers only suffered a partial tear of his Achilles tendon, but even so, a comeback before the end of the regular season would be a near miracle for the 39-year-old signal-caller. Someone close to Rodgers believes he will want to return to practice "in a couple of weeks." Torn Achilles tendons typically take 10-12 months to come back from, so although Rodgers may appear to be getting close, he still has a ways to go before he's a realistic option to start under center for the Jets.
