Aaron Rodgers Takes The Day Off

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) did not practice on Thursday during a light rehab day. The Jets notably opened the 21-day window for Rodgers to return from Injured Reserve on Wednesday, and he was officially listed as listed in the first practice of the week. Rodgers is not far enough in his rehab from a torn Achilles suffered in Week 1 to join team drills, but it's amazing that he's even back on the field at all at this point. In a best-case scenario, the 39-year-old future Hall of Famer might return to the field by Week 16, but that would mean that they Jets would be in playoff contention. As things stand now, the Jets are currently 4-7 and outside of the playoff picture, so they are going to need to win some games in the coming weeks for it to even make sense for Rodgers to attempt an unbelievable comeback.
