Aaron Jones On The RB2/RB3 Borderline Against Rams
one year ago

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones will take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9. The veteran back has been dealing with a hamstring injury all season and despite coming back in Week 7 after the teams bye week, Jones has still been a limited participant in practice. Head coach Matt LaFleur came out on Friday and stated that the team is "ready to cut him loose," this weekend, but fantasy managers should still manage their expectations. The Rams defense allows the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs and have given up the fewest yards through the air to the position. AJ Dillon will still get his allotted touches as well and even worked into the passing game last week. Jones at his peak is a great fantasy asset, but he has not come anywhere close to showing us that level of play since his injury. Consider the 28-year-old a fringe RB2 in Week 9.
