49ers Adding More D-Line Help In Jordan Elliott
9 months ago

The San Francisco 49ers agreed to terms with Cleveland Browns free-agent defensive tackle Jordan Elliott on Tuesday on a two-year, $10 million deal, according to a source. The Browns took Elliott in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft and he recorded a total of 98 tackles (49 solo), five sacks, eight tackles for loss, 10 QB hits and four passes defended in 66 games (35 starts) in his first four years in the league. The 26-year-old emerged as a starter for the Browns' defensive line in the last two seasons and started 31 of a possible 34 contests. Elliott hasn't been particularly effective in his four total seasons in the NFL, although he could be asked to help pick up the slack on the interior of the Niners' defensive line with Arik Armstead expected to be cut.
